Pair of Top-5 finishes in prelims; ninth-place finish in National 100 at East Alabama

Primed for the biggest weekend of the year at his home track, Dalton Cook went to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Friday and kicked off the three-day, unsanctioned National 100 among 21 other Super Late Models.

Cook opened up the event with a fourth-place outing in the $5,000-to-win opener and then landed on the podium the following night. He trailed Jimmy Owens and Brandon Overton in the $10,000 show. For Sunday's $30,000-to-win finale, Dalton led 50 laps of the 100-lapper before a late flat tire relegated him to ninth.
