Cook grabs podium finish with Southern Thunder at North Georgia Speedway
Looking to extend his points lead with the tour, Dalton Cook checked into North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Ga.) on Saturday afternoon for the $7,500-to-win Young Memorial with the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series.
Laying down the second-quickest time in his qualifying group, Cook earned a second-row starting position and ran as high as second in the 50-lap feature. Dalton slid back one spot on a late restart and rounded out the podium in third. He trailed Cory Hedgecock and Dale McDowell while David Payne and Dillard Hatchett completed the Top-5.
Dalton continues to lead the STSDS point standings.
