Cook records pair of Top-5 finishes at Penton Raceway & East Alabama Motor Speedway
Dalton Cook opened up a doubleheader weekend with the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series at Penton (Ala.) Raceway for the $10,000-to-win David Brackett & Danny Carswell Memorial.
Cook put down the second-quickest lap in qualifying, but fell back in the 40-lap feature to round out the Top-5. He trailed Mark Whitener, Kyle Bronson, Ashton Winger, and Wil Herrington.
Headed to his home track on Saturday evening, Dalton drove to a podium finish in the $10,000-to-win show. Kyle Bronson and Mark Whitener outran him to the checkered.
